I have been racing sailboats from Lasers to Santa Cruz 70s for over 40 years. I started off surfing and sailing dinghies in Southern California at a young age. I began racing on bigger boats in high school and competed up and down the west coast from San Francisco to San Diego. I campaigned a T-10 (Liberty) on Lake Michigan for 14 years. My wife, Kristine Maybach, and I currently own and race a J/109 (Courageous). I have been very fortunate to be a part of some great sailing teams and have many podium finishes over the years: + Southern California PHRF Champion + Newport to Ensenada Race + National Offshore One-Design Regatta + Verve Cup + Chicago to Waukegan Race + Hook Race J/109 Section - 1st Place + J/109 North American Championship - 1st Overall + 2023 Chicago to Mackinac Island Section 8 - 1st Place + 2024 Chicago to Mackinac Island Section 8 - 1st Place (Line honors for Cup Division)
